Our Story.

Hi! We’re the co-owners of Traveling Paws, Shannon and Aly (with Aubree to join soon)! We are a mother-daughter team who’ve always shared a deep love and bond over animals. Our lifelong passion for animals inspired us to create Traveling Paws, where we could combine our love for pets with the desire to help others. We find joy in making sure every animal we work with is treated with the utmost care and attention, ensuring their journey is as smooth and stress-free as possible. Caring for animals has been our calling, and we’re excited to offer our services to the Hampton Roads community, knowing just how important it is to provide safe and loving transportation for your cherished furry friend.

With over 30 years of combined experience in animal care, we bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Traveling Paws. We’ve worked with a wide range of animals, from cats and kittens to dogs and puppies (including large breeds) and even small animals like rabbits. Our experience includes successfully completing multiple out-of-state trips with pets over the last 18 years. Aly has also generously volunteered her time with animal rescues, further deepening our connection to the well-being of animals. With our extensive background in animal care, we’re confident in our ability to provide pet parents with top-notch service and their pets a safe, comfortable passage to their destination.
